I am passionate about bringing out the best in people in a positive and nurturing way and will always tailor my teaching to the person in front of me.
Teaching experience
Teaching has been a big part of my life from an early age. My mother being a primary school teacher made every day a learning day so I guess I get my communication skills from her!
I have over 35 years' experience of teaching at at all levels - school, university, adult learners - and have had much success with SQA, Trinity, ABRSM and MTB examinations. Many of my students have gone on to study at conservatoires around the country.
A wealth of teaching experience
I have added to my skills over the years by taking courses in Kodaly Musicianship, Psychology of Teaching and Performing, Yoga teacher training level 1 and Counselling Skills. I also gained an Advanced Diploma in Jazz from the University of St Andrews.
I have a small number of spaces for one to one lessons here in my studio in Glasgow (intermediate and advanced students only). Should you decide to study with me you will have access to an online Student Portal which features a wealth of teaching resources, practice statistics, and personalised lesson notes.
