If you're part of a flute choir seeking inspirational coaching or have a group of students eager for ensemble coaching, read more about our bespoke workshops.
Are you part of a flute choir looking for some inspirational ideas? Do you have a group of students who would benefit from a day or two of coaching and the opportunity to play ensemble music together? Are you a woodwind instructor whose first instrument is something other than flute seeking some guidance on teaching the flute as a non specialist?
If you answered 'Yes' to any of these questions then do get in touch and I will work with you to tailor the workshop very much to suit you and your group.
Past workshops range from small groups of woodwind instructors coming to my own studio for flute teaching tips over coffee and biscuits, to woodwind masterclasses in Malta; from coaching flute choirs from the Faroe Isles and Cumbria, to one day workshops in various venues across the UK, from the South of England to the North of Scotland.
Workshops can be a day or half a day or even a full weekend. We will start off with some all-important warm up exercises and stretching, finishing with a group performance. Some of the areas of development and improvement covered during the day can include:
• Tone development & production
• Breathing
• Colour
• Tips for working on tricky passages
• Ensemble Coaching
• Musical Interpretation
• Combatting performance nerves
If you’d like to talk through some ideas for your group, please do get in touch - I look forward to hearing from you.
